Frequently asked
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so you cancel in your Apple ID settings: open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, choose Bite, then Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
How do I get a refund?
Because purchases go through the App Store, refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Bite purchase, and request a refund. Apple decides refunds under its own policy.
I subscribed, but Bite says I'm not a member
This usually means a purchase needs restoring. In Bite, open the Profile tab and tap Upgrade to Bite Plus, then tap Restore at the top of the screen, and make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. If it still does not appear, email us and we will sort it out.
How do I delete my account and my data?
You can request deletion from inside the app, or email us from the address on your account. We delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, apart from limited records we are legally required to keep. Cancelling a subscription is separate and is done through Apple.
Bite suggested something I am allergic to. What now?
Meal suggestions are AI-generated and can be wrong about ingredients and allergens, so always check ingredients yourself before cooking or buying. Set your allergies and foods to avoid in your preferences so future suggestions account for them, and tell us about any serious miss so we can improve.
How do I change my tastes or dietary preferences?
Open the Profile tab in the app and edit Your preferences any time: foods you love, foods to avoid, allergies, household size, your supermarket, and your weekly budget. New plans use your latest preferences right away.
Which supermarkets and regions does Bite support?
Shopping lists are organised for major UK supermarkets including Tesco, Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Co-op, and Morrisons. Bite works wherever the App Store offers it; supermarket-specific organisation is focused on the UK for now.
Does Bite need an internet connection?
Generating a new plan needs a connection, since the suggestions are created for you on the fly. Plans and lists you have already generated remain available to view.
